Liberti Youth

At Liberti Collingswood, we seek to live, speak, and serve as the very presence of Jesus here and in surrounding boroughs and that includes youth! In 2018, we launched Liberti Youth for middle and high school students. Through Liberti Youth, our older kids will explore what it means to know freedom in Christ in an environment that allows them to safely wrestle with what that would look like in their world.

The backbone of Liberti Youth will be a weekly gathering on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm during the school year. Parents are welcome, but not obligated, to attend the Haddon Township home meeting which will follow the same schedule as Liberti Youth. During Liberti Youth meetings, we’ll be learning basic Christian doctrine through the New City Catechism, and connecting with each other through fun activities and prayer. Our group will engage in periodic, non-Wednesday evening service projects and hang outs as well. (All Liberti Youth volunteers are background checked and abide by our child protection protocols.)

Leadership

Liberti Youth is currently led by Jesse and Megan Carroll.  Jesse was a founding member of Liberti Church Collingswood and has served our congregation in a variety of roles.  He married Megan in 2016 and they have been serving together at Liberti since then. In 2018, God blessed them with the birth of their daughter, Josie.  Having both grown up in churches where they appreciated the role adults in their congregations played in the spiritual formation of young people, they’re excited to help the youth of Liberti grow in their relationship with Christ and with each other. In his spare time, Jesse works for Collingswood Schools as an admin assistant for the special ed department, enjoys listening to music (primarily the Beatles), helps lead worship at Liberti, and is currently in grad school pursuing a career in marriage and family counseling. Megan is a professional flutist and enjoys cooking, baking, spending time outside, and bad puns.
