In The Community

Over the past few years, we’ve regularly partner with Fellowship House of South Camden. They’re an organization that does wonderful work in Camden, and we periodically assist with their after school programs/camps, contribute food, help on work days, cook meals there, and so on. In addition, we are glad participants in the Liberti-led, annual Easter Outreach, which brings thousands of free meals to our region in celebration of the resurrection. If you have any questions about serving in the community or would like to plug into one of these opportunities, contact Jim (jim@liberti.org).

Additionally, Liberti Collingswood has begun regular points of connection and service at the Collingswood Food Pantry at St. Paul’s.  As an Advent service project, we raised funds for the pantry to buy a new, commercial refrigerator, and on the second Sunday of every month we take a collection of toiletry items for clients of the pantry.

As Liberti Collingswood continues to grow, many of our mercy/justice/outreach initiatives have been spearheaded by our small groups.  Recently we’ve done such things as buy and lay mulch at Knight Park here in Collingswood, fund the borough’s family summer movie series, plant trees along Haddon Avenue, sponsor our Farmers’ Market, send volunteer workers to community events like the local Mayfair and Book Festival, serve at an elderly care facility nearby, and more!
