We’re Moving!

The third time is the charm for Liberti Church Collingswood! When we launched public worship back in the spring of 2013, it was at the Collingswood Senior Community Center. After a fruitful four years, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Park Ave. became our home. And now, starting on Sunday, 10/6, Liberti Church Collingswood begins a new phase at its new home in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (839 Haddon Ave., Collingswood).

What are the Details?

Beginning on that Sunday, our weekly worship service will start at 11am, and run for 75 minutes until 12:15pm. We are currently not planning to have a formal “coffee hour” at the conclusion of the service. However, we are committed to finding an alternative way to create a similar atmosphere of mingling that promotes relationship building and community.

Additionally, on that first Sunday at Holy Trinity, we are restructuring Liberti Kids to create a much needed fourth class! The new breakdown will be as follows:

  • Liberti Kids 1 = 6 months – 2.5 years old
  • Liberti Kids 2 = 2.5 years old – Pre-K
  • Liberti Kids 3 = Kindergarten – 2nd grade
  • Liberti Kids 4 = 3rd – 5th grade

All four classes will be dismissed at Passing of the Peace, and the two youngest will remain in their rooms until the conclusion of the service.

How can I help?

I’m glad you asked! In order to prepare for our first Sunday at Holy Trinity, we will definitely need some assistance. Next Saturday, 9/28, from 9am to noon, we are going to do some clearing out and cleaning up of children’s ministry, worship ministry, and storage spaces.

The following day, on Sunday, 9/29, at the conclusion of our worship service, we are going to move all our equipment from St. Paul’s to the new location. If you are in attendance that morning, please consider packing up your vehicle and transporting some stuff! We will provide lunch in the fellowship hall at Holy Trinity for anyone who is able to help!

Finally, on Saturday, 10/5, we will need to do some settling in and final preparations for the next morning. We’ll plan to gather at Holy Trinity again at 9am and wrap up by noon. (Note: The Collingswood Book Festival will be taking place simultaneously on Haddon Ave., so parking will be more sparse.)

Join us for this exciting transition as we press ahead in our mission to live, speak, and serve as the very presence of Jesus in this town, and region, that we love. Years from now, you can tell your grandkids that you were there!
